Update record question

When my user logs in, I would like to create an update page that only has the users records. Can I do this with a session variable? Thanks.

If you are using security assist, the security assist wizard will create the user profile page automatically.

In security assist, when the user logs in, their ID is stored in a session variable.

The profile page contains a recordset that filters the user table on the users ID session variable to show their details. and allow them to update their user record.

you can examine the profile page that security assist creates to get a better understanding of how it works.

Jason,

I am not using security assist on this particular login page. But I am creating a user id session variable. Can that be passed to the update page in data assist to display the logged in users records? (and where?)

this is done in the recordset. See the attached screen shots for an example of the recordset that is created on the Security Assist profile page.
