Adding conditional statements to UE code

Adding conditional statements to UE code

I have set up a system to send out a newsletter to everyone in a mySQL database.

I have the whole thing working fine, but now I want to send the newsletter only to certain people, conditional on there being a certain word present in one of the database fields.

I am OK constructing the PHP IF statement, but am having trouble working out which block of the UE generated code to wrap it around.

Can anyone help?

I have attached the code.

(By the way, I though I had posted this yesterday but it seems to have disappeared, so if it turns up twice, my apologies)

For this you need to filter the recordset so only records where your field has the desired value will be returned:

SELECT * FROM test WHERE columnName = "value"

in the example above you will need to substitute the name of the column you wish to filter and the value you want to filter it on.

Doh

Of course, that's a much better way of doing it - many thanks.
