Newest editor problems

I have been using HTML editor for quite a while and haven't encountered this before. Perhaps there was a change in the latest upgrade? While working in the editor, text looks as expected, ie, spacing between paragraphs, etc. but on the page, all the returns are missing. I've tried a variety of settings such as setting to br, clean html, and setting content on pages to new lines on break. What is the combination to get the page to see hard returns? Screen shots attached. Thanks
