Step 1 installation - file permissions

Step 1 installation - file permissions

Error message says "Files and directories cannot be created. Verify your powergallery directory has write permissions."

How do I authorize write permissions to continue with Installation process?

Using your ftp software, you can give write permissions to the main powergallery directory. Usually you just right click on the remote folder and choose change permissions and it will popup a box allowing you to give write permissions. Alternately, you can use your web hosts control panel to allow give the correct permissions to the directory.

I was having the same issue with the file permissions. I am using as my hosting provider. I went into my file manager tab and located all of the files of the PowerStore. Using the godaddy built-in FTP client I changed the file permissions of the directories and sub-directories of all the files. I am still seeing the error in the installation wizard about the file permissions. I have also updated the 5 files found in a download:

# install/2.php
# install/scripts/db.sql
# Admin/Update_ProductCoupons.php
# Admin/Products_Results.php
# WA_DataAssist /WA_AppBuilder_PHP.php

Am I still doing something wrong here? Please help me out

You need to change the permissions for the main directory you uploaded the files to, not the sub files or folders. The install wizard creates some new directories and files automatically, so that is why the main directory needs the permissions.
