Authorize.Net Users - PLEASE READ!
Authorize.net has an inherent problem in the checkout procedure that will NOT accept special type characters in the Product Name and sometimes in the Cart, Short and Long Description pages.
I spent about 40 hours loading 60 products (garments) in PowerStore3 that had numerous options and conditional changes that required a specific SKU for each change...meaning many pages per item. Next thing I know I am getting furious phone calls from the customer stating people are calling and can't complete transactions...I tried everything and couldn't figure it out after making USPS changes and requesting new codes from Authorize.Net....I tried and left numerous messages the last day and a half on this support forum but no one had contacted me back as of yet.....
BUT After perusing the support forums for the last 8 hours I stumbled across one particular instance of Authorize.Net not supporting a ' apostrophe in the product name. I changed several product names to change this and lo and behold it worked..but also having to entirely rewrite the cart, short and long term descriptions. I have about 12-15 hours of programming now to do completely over because of the number of products and all the specific conditional changes for each..peachy...but at least I don't have to dump the whole thing....
