remove the feedback link by editing the Templates/Admin.dwt.php file.

Are the power store files at the root of your Dreamweaver site?

When you save the template are you prompted to update the child pages?

if not, go to Modify -> Templates -> Update Pages

Hi Jason
No i do not get prompted to update the pages, and the template folder is in the powergallery folder.

the power gallery files must be at the root of the Dreamweaver site for changes to the template to be applied to child pages.

this is a limitation to the way Dreamweaver works with templates.

Admin Template

I followed the directions to instal powergallery and it said to upload the powergallery folder with all its contents and run the wizard by accessing the file, now you are saying i should not have done that?

I do not want my clients to see web assist link or the fedback on the admin pages what do i have to do to remove them from the template, if i move all the files now that i have them working into the root directory and out of the powergallery folder nothing will work?

I love the way this product works but the editing and installation is very frustrating to work with, the directions are not clear at all and you have to edit way to many files to customize the pages the way you want them.

Anyway some help would be appreciated.

Hi Clinton,

You might try this work around to edit the gallery admin pages via the template, as a similar process has been used in a couple of cases involving other solutions.

Define a second site in DW one level deeper than the primary site definition. DW will object to having two sites defined that involve the same folders, but just ignore the objection.

The second site will have the powergallery folder at the top of the DW files panel. The admin folder, the templates folder, and the others will then appear at the "root" of the second site. At that point you can edit the admin template and it should then prompt you to update the admin pages linked to the admin template. Save the files as necessary and return to the primary site.

Once back to the primary site, upload the updated admin files to your server.

This is the process that I used and it seemed to work fine.

When I try to apply the template to the other pages i get "Bad file Path (error code 3)". Also when I go to update pages and try to only updates pages that use "X" template, there isn't any template shown.

for the templates to work correctly, the templates folder must at the root of the Dreamweaver Site. I am including a screen shot to show the proper Dreamweaver Site configuration.
