Displaying the Total Price and Number of Items?

I was wondering how I can display the total number and price of items in someone's shopping cart at the top of the page where the "My profile," "Logout," "Login," etc., links are....so when someone is logged in it will read

My Profile | Logout | (#) Items | $ (Total Amount) | View Cart

I already know where to place everything in the template files, etc. and have already styled those regions as I want them to look, I just don't know what functions to call to have these two items show up there.

Oh, and my client wants it to show up even if the cart is empty so it would display 0 Items / $0

to show the total quantity in the cart use:

php:
<?php echo $WA_Store_Cart->Totalcolumn("Quantity"); ?>

to show the amount of the art use:

php:
<?php echo $WA_Store_Cart->TotalColumn("TotalPrice"); ?>
