Menu showing too much; missing page

Sorry to hit y'all with another problem so quick... and actually it's two problems.

First, my customer will be selling t-shirts. I have set up eleven main categories, representing the lines of t-shirt designs.

I have made sub-categories that represent each design in a category/line.

If you hover over a category name, the menu will show the sub-categories in the correct place - as a 2nd level menu.

BUT... all of my subcategories are also appearing in the first submenu level at the end of the list of main categories.

The site is index.php (I have a placeholder page [default.htm] that will show if you don't type in index.php).

So that you can quickly find the error, highlight "Celestial", and you will see "Sun Moon & Stars" "Half Sun/Moon" and "Got It Made" on the submenu, but you will also see those same three designs listed in the main categories. Same goes for any other sub-category I set up.

Did I do something wrong, or is this how the menu works?

SECOND PROBLEM: I have set up a product that has advanced options for sizes. This product is under the category "Mojo Man" and is the Mojo Man Head Shot. If you click on Mojo Man Head Shot (in submenu 2), it takes you to products_details.php, which gives a 404 - File or Directory not found error. I notice that my site does not even have a file named "products_details.php". There is a products_detail.php, though.

Thank you in advance for your patience & help!

I can see what you are talking about on your site, but I can't get this to happen on my pages. Are you working with the latest updated files for your PowerStore from the download center?

Do the products that are listed in the menu twice belong to more than one category?

As for the product details page did you make any edits to the menu? In the menu file that is located in the cssmw_home > menu.php page the links are only set to go to the Products_Results.php page.

Thanks for checking, Eric!

I downloaded PS3 just before creating the site on 3/28/10.

The products are only in one category.

And as for the menu, I kept getting that horrible error where you have to go delete the .dat file - and more than once, it deleted a css file (not within the cssmw folders tho). I ended up having to recreate my Dreamweaver config folder. So it's entirely possible that something got screwed up along the way.

As you can see, I did some tweaking to the menu, but I'm pretty intimate with it now (ha!), so if I have to recreate it, I suppose I can. Should I replace the whole CSSMenuWriter folder with the original PS3 version to do that?

Thanks again!

For the menu I would definitely suggest making your edits to the default files. I'm still having problems getting the items to show in the sub category and on the main menu. Would it be possible for you to post a sql file of your db, minus the wa_settings table in a zip file? If I can use your same data it might help me get the same result. If there is private info in there or you don't feel comfortable posting it here I can open a ticket for you so we can exchang ethe info privately.

I will send you whatever you need, just need to figure out how to first ;)

And it prolly would be best to open a ticket.

Also, when I mentioned tweaking the menu, it was entirely through CSS Menu writer, and mostly just the label names at first, and then only the theme. I saved the menu and the theme as new presets but...

I was just going to go look at what I had saved the menu as, and I got that error about the database connection required for this content preset not existing in the site. (ugh!)

Now, I downloaded the new xmltree.xml file last week, and I'm (almost) positive I have it in the site, but at one point, I started completely over with the site - locally and remotely. As I said, I'm pretty sure I had the new xml file in there, and the fact that up until now I haven't been getting that error makes me think that is true.

So now that I've muddied the waters here, I'd be willing to have you TeamViewer into my computer, then I can remote to the server for you to look things over. Or I can send you the DB as you first requested.

Thanks again for your help, Eric!

I'm a dumb***

WAMP wasn't running (it's late here, sorry!)

So ignore paragraph 3 & 4 of my previous post; the rest I stand behind ;)

I have responded to your ticket but I wanted to update the thread here in case any others found this.

The problems seem to be related to edits of the menu.php file for the menu. The duplicate products listed in the main level of the menu are due to a missing WHERE clause that is present in the default menu.php file.

WHERE CategoryParent = 0

The links to the details page that are coming up as 404 are going to the wrong page, the page they should be going to are <a href="<?php echo($assumedRoot); ?>Products_Results.php?Search=1&ProductCategoryID[]=<?php echo $row_menuwriter_categories["CategoryID"]; ?>">
