Adding new product (#42) failed

Greetings,
I have my Powerstore working fine with Powergallery installed for extra pics in the long description.

I have 41 products succesfully added, some with extra pics using PG.

I tried to add another product (#42) and I keep getting the following error:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32768000) (tried to allocate 15872 bytes) in /homepages/25/d319221346/htdocs/WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php on line 861

This new product did include a PG in the long description so I tried to add the product without the PG and get the same error message.

My database has lots of usage left (about 99.9MB available out of 100MB)

My site is:

www.jacobsfishinghole.com

I am not a code writter and very much a Rookie.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Jacob

try changing line 1 of the /WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php file from:

<?php

to:

php:
<?php

ini_set
('memory_limit''256M');
?><?php

Jason,
Thank you for the reply.
I changed (copy and pasted) line 1 of the WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php file (I found in the root directory) as suggested (using DreamWeaver CS4) to:

<?php
ini_set('memory_limit', '256M');
?><?php

I put the WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php file to the site (including dependent files). I then opened my site admin to add a product and received the same results with the exception of the line number now being 863 instead of 861 due to the edited file. Result:

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 32768000) (tried to allocate 15872 bytes) in /homepages/25/d319221346/htdocs/WA_DigitalFilePro/HelperPHP.php on line 863

If you need access to my admin or files let me know. My host provider is 1and1.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

working

Jason,
I reread the posts concerning "memory" and PowerStore (PS). Some problems were corrected by reducing the size of the picture being uploaded. So I went back and reveiwed what I was doing and found that when I saved the picture for the product description using Photoshop, I forgot to reduce the size of the picture so it was approxamently 33.5MB large. I reduced the size to about 125k and I was able to add the product successfully.

I thought that PS resized the picture when uploaded. What is the maximun size of picture that PS will accept?

I did edit the file as mentioned previously with no effect in this case.

Thanks,
Jacob

there isn't a maximum size imposed by powerstore, the maximum size is determined by the server.

resizing the image uses a lot of memory on the server. The larger the file, the morte memory from the server must be used.

If the server does not enough free physical memory available to handle resizing the image, you will get the error you are reporting, regardless of the setting you use for the memory limit.

APower store will only be able to use what is available for image resizing.
