PS3 and CSS Menu Writer (?) Errors

PS3 and CSS Menu Writer (?) Errors

I know about going to delete the .dat file, but this is happening entirely too much!

Here's what's caused it the last three times (the last time I did it just to confirm what I was doing to cause the problem): with index.php open, I removed a background color from common.css - outerWrapper #navWrapper #topNavigation.

After closing the dialog box for editing the css, I tried to save the file. I got the error: "A sharing violation occurred while accessing c:\wamp\www\MojoUprisin\css\MFC37f6.tmp

After that happens, not only do I have to go delete the .dat file, but *the common.css file is deleted from my site*. I have to copy it back in from my original Power Store files.

And in case it matters, I have replaced the treexml.xml file with the one you guys posted for us because of the problem with connectivity. (Geesh, gotta hold your mouth just right to use this solution...)

I am carefully editing my Menu, making only 1-2 changes at a time, saving everything, then going back into CSS Menu Writer to try to eliminate all these freak-outs, but my productivity is being dramatically reduced by these constant errors. If I'm doing something wrong, I'll stop - just tell me what it is!

Since you are getting an error with the temp directory it seems like you may be experiencing a bigger issue within DW and it might not have anything to do with how you are using things. If you have deleted the dat file and continue to have this problem then there might be a corruption of the configuration. If this is the case you will need to follow the instructions listed here to rename the config folder and remove the installed extensions:

showpost.php?p=12293&postcount=2

Please give this a try to see if it resolves the problems you are experiencing. Let us know how it goes.

Thank you so much!

I've done as you suggested. So far, so good... I'll keep my fingers crossed!
