Too many items

Too many items

Buyers to my cart cannot purchase more than 30 items. I hope this is an easy fix because my customers will consistently buy over this amount. Is there a switch or a parameter that I can change.

Thanks in advance.

This is not an issue that I have seen before. In my testing I am able to add more than 30 items to the cart without issue. Please post back and include some additional details about the problem and include a link where we can check this out.

I don't have a lot of information as I have not tried it myself. I have two customers that have tried to purchase more than 30 items and the purchase did not go through. Both called and told me that they were refused because the total was more than 30 items. They were able to email me a copy of their purchase list before they hit the submit button though. I was not alerted by Auth.net so I believe it has something to do with the cart side of the equation. I can send you whatever you need but I am not sure where to look.

I think a good place to start would be with the item list the customers gave you. You should try to reproduce the issue yourself, you can always refund a test transaction that you make. It is important that we know the exact circumstances of the error. I'm not aware of any item number limitation in either eCart or with the Authorize.net gateway.

I have seen an issue with Authorize.net when an items name contains more than a certain number of characters. You could test for this by trying to purchase the item with the largest number of characters in the name. If you can make a purchase of that item then it is probably not the issue.

I will test it tomorrow and get back with you. Thanks.
