Paypal UK Item Details

Hi,

We can successfully make purchases, however the item name/description does not pass to Paypal successfully. The Paypal receipt displays the other information such as the customer name, the item price, shipping costs etc.), but the item description is blank.

Are you working with Payments Pro? What values have you specific in the server behavior for the item's name and description information? Please post back with the details and include a copy of your confirm page minus any of the sensitive details like logins.

Thanks for responding. I'm attaching a copy of the confirm page without sensitive info.

It looks like you are trying to pass the item description in place of the name. On line 301 you should have the name specified like this:

php:
$WA_PP_ECO_Do_itemized[1][$nextIndex] = "".$BlueSkyCart->DisplayInfo("Name")  ."";

You will only pass the name to PayPal and not the description. The description should be stored in your db or sent out with the email receipt.

Hi Eric,

Actually, the code did include the the following line:

$WA_PP_ECO_Do_itemized[1][$nextIndex] = "".$BlueSkyCart->DisplayInfo("Name") ."";

I changed it to Description while testing the issue. The Paypal Receipt displays a blank Item Name with both $BlueSkyCart->DisplayInfo("Name") & $BlueSkyCart->DisplayInfo("Description").

It definitely seems rite to have the name specified in this line of code. You can see the name of the item in the cart correct? If so it should definitely have the name present when the code is executed. Do you have a screen shot of what you are experiencing in the receipt? Also, are you getting your own receipt for the purchase sent from the site?

Hi Eric,

The custom email receipt is fine. The email receipt sent by Paypal doesn't include the Item Name. I'm attaching a screen shot.

Also, is it possible for me to discuss this via email or by phone. There seems to be a 8-12 hour delay between our communications and the issue has been present since last week. We'd like to resolve this as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Eric,

I haven't heard from anyone regarding this ticket. I've sent several messages & posted some additional information on the ticket. How can I receive an update? We're going into week #2 without resolving this issue.
