You say the testing server files can't connect to the db. What is the error you are getting when you try this? So long as you have access to the db your pages in DW should be able to interact with the db as well.

You way you have your local and testing server info setup seems fine to me. What is the error you are getting in regards to your db when you have it setup like this?

I'm getting " HTTP ERROR code 404 file not found, here are some possible reasons for the problem:

1) no testing server running
2) this site does not map to the MMHTTPDB.php URL. Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site.

i attached the two files from mmServerscripts..mysql and MMHTTPDB

hope to here from you soooooon..thanks

I have seen errors like this before, they usually relate the the mmServerScripts folder that is referenced. With DW closed go to the local root for you site and find this mmServerScripts folder, it may be a hidden file. When you find it delete it, then when you go into DW the next time it should be recreated for you.

Give this a try to see if it will resolve this problem for you.

If you are still having this problem with the site that you have defined in DW you should try defining a new site with new folders. The problem is one with a particular site, defining a new one should relieve the issue.

The error you are getting is a DW one, I don't know of any silver bullet answer for the problem other than deleting the mmServerScripts folder or defining a new DW site. If these do not work for you then you might need to get some assistance from Adobe support.
