how to show 3rd level arrow in dynamic menu

how to show 3rd level arrow in dynamic menu

Hi Guys,

I have a Navgation system and excuse me if I have the leveling wrong ...

The navigation is main, dropdown, then pop out..

The menu is dynamic for the drop down and pop out section, but I would like to display an arrow only on the 2nd level if it has a pop out 3rd level.

I have tried adding the image directly to the <li> and then showing if if record not empty ... but this caused rollover issues on the arrow - and for some reason does not work at all for the first nav item.

I hope this makes sense..

Thanks

The method that you have tried seems like it should work. What is the problem that occurs with the rollover when you do it like this? Do you have a link where this can be seen? Please post back with and also a copy of the page that you have modified.

Hi Eric,

How would I do this, I am looking for this too.
It is not possible to attach a "Show if not empty: on menu level 1 as the recordset defining the level 2 comes after level 1....

Help would be appreciated!

Have you tried to implement the show if region for the arrow based on the recordset that defines the second level of navigation? If you have what is the result that you are getting? If you have not applied this show region around the arrow you should give this a try by selecting the arrow and going to server behaviors > show region > show if recordset is not empty.

I tried this but this doesn't work. The result is nill.

I hope I can explain this clearly, but for example the arrow is shown at (attached to) the level_0.
If I do a show region on the underlying level_1, where also is defined whether there are records for the level_1 based on the ID of the level_0, it is not possible to do the show region in the level_0 area as it should be based on the recordset of the level_1, which is defined later in the page.

Can you post back with the page you have this applied to that is not working for you. Perhaps we can take a look to see if there is an issue that we can spot or a change that might make it work for you.
