Instalation Step 3 error

Thread began 3/22/2010 7:48 pm by shauqie1957399854 | Last modified 3/23/2010 12:54 pm by Jimmy Wu | 604 views | 1 replies |

Instalation Step 3 error

I'm having a problem during the instalation process ( Admin Login). It says "ERROR: Failed to save the settings in the database. Please verify your database connection".

I have contacted my hosting provider and he asked me to contact back to the developer. Here is what my hosting provider said

"I have checked the mysql login info and it is correct, I can connect to the database directly but the installation fails saying Mysql problem.
Please contact the script's developers regarding the problem, maybe there are some additional mysql requirements which aren't specified in the Readme file".

Here is the link to my installation folder. 3.php

Please help me solving this matter.

I just tried to access the page you were referring to, but the page is no longer there. So were you able to create a database connection in step 2 of the wizard? If you were, then this error shouldn't occur. Make sure the database name is valid. Are you able to create a connection using the same credentials while in Dreamweaver?
