uploading many products

Is there a way to upload many products to my database? I have a couple of hundred items to add and don't want to add them one at a time.

I have csv files and image files to upload for these products.

Also, what do I need to do to have the images placed with the correct product without doing each one manually. My products and images use the same code numbers and this worked excellent on my previous site.

It "can" be possible to batch upload your products using a csv file, but it is not supported, and problematic at best.

If you are going to try batch importing, I would recommend first inserting a couple of products manually, then doing a CSV export to get a working format. Then make sure your CSV file is formatted the same way.

Doing this will also help demonstrate how the database holds the image names for you to mimic.
