How to setup PS3 to pay with PayPal PaymentPro?

I'am a web designer with little knowledge of programing.
I'am thinking in to buy PowerStore3 but I'am not sure if it is as good as they say or if I need solid programing skills to modify its look.
I'am very concern on this:
How is to setup PowerStore3 to pay with PayPal PaymentPro?
Is it easy to setup or is it a nightmare?
thanks all for your insight.

I recommend that you watch the feature tour here to get a better idea of what powerstore gives you:

powerstore/

as far as paypal payment pro, you will just need to get an account with paypal and get the credentials required to use paypal payment pro.

Installing PowerStore is easy and straightforward and have a built in installer which will walk you through the steps and check to make sure you have the necessary setup to run PowerStore.

As far as changing the design, you should be able to make modification by modifying two main css files, content.css and common.css, but if you want to redesign it completely then you will need to use the main template.

Thanks, Dany, for your advice.
I've seen that video and all seems quite easy, but it isn't too deep.
Ok, I understand how to modify the design (I have SiteAssistPro and know the css and template thing) but the connection to PayPal is the part that most concern to me.

Is that simple as put those "credentials" in the appropiate text fields and hit Ok?

Sorry, I ask too much because I have a client that needs a store and have a deadline to finish. I need a solution "for sure" (or better not to accept the job). Dont want to stuck in a code nightmare or too much complicated settings.

Thanks again,
Andres

The payment gateway works as you described, you entered the credentials into a text box and click OK.

we have a demo for powerstore and if you visit this link:

admin_settings.php

and then click payment information tab and select the paypal payment pro from the drop down list then you will know what I'm talking about.

let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi,

I too am a graphic designer with basic web skills,

So, I thought I'd just let you know, I've just done this, (setting powerstore 3 up with paypal pro) and yea.. it's not to difficult.. it took me a while (and one call to Paypal) to figure out exactly what the API credientals (Signature) were, and where to find them, but it was all ok...

With regards to Powerstore 3 in general:

You will inevitibly come across problems when you build the store and there will be tiny little things that will bug you and take a whole day the first time you do them (and an hour the next time you do them!) (But realistically that's no different from learning, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc..) but the webassist forums are good, and webassist staff (an other members of the forums!) are usually pretty good (and quick!) at solving problems!..

it won't be as easy as you think it is, (or quite as easy as webassist videos make it out to be, sorry guys, just being honest!) and you won't get it done as quickly as you think you will, but ultimatly with these tools and this forum you'll get it done!.. ;-)

hope this helps!..

Ok. Thanks to you Dani and Pimp for clarifying this issue to me.
Thanks Pimp for your honest and realistic insight.
I think I'am going to give it a try and buy the thing.
Thanks again,
