Alter the clarity of the captcha graphic

Form security types

Hi everyone,

I noticed that the security options offered in CSS Form Builder include the captcha graphic and also the different questions. I just wondered, is it necessary to use both of these on any one form or will one be ok for security? Also will this type of security stop all spam from getting through?

Appreciate any assistance.

on the CFSP Support page, there is a tutorial in the how to section titled "How to remove security features from your Contact Form" This will walk through removing the any of the security features that are included.

It is imposible to stop all types of spam, the security included will help stop spam from automated scripts filling the form in.

It will not be able to stop a person from filling the form in however.

I found that I can actually remove the security question from within the CSSFormBuilder wizard. I just wanted to know if it's actually necessary to include both the captcha security code as well as the random question. I mean are they both necessary for adequate security or would just the captcha be ok. Maybe you misunderstood the first part of my question.

No... it is not necessary to include all... but I think what Jason was getting at is that by using both, you greatly cut down the risk of spam getting through your form.

I happen to remove the question and just use the Captcha and I have had very little problems on my server. That may work fine for you well. You can try it and see.

Best regards,

Brian

Ok thanks for that. I'll give it a go with just the Captcha.
