Can't upload image

I had irite installed with no problems and i was able to upload images ok.
I replaced irite with html editor and now when I hit the upload image tab I get the message :
Upload not available
How do I fix this?

When you edited the instance with HTML Editor did you enable advanced file management and configure this part? If not you will need to do so to get the file upload functionality in place. Please describe the steps you have taken already that give you the current result. It seems like you just do not have one of the settings in place properly.

Text not appearing now

Thanks,
I reloaded the html editor files and the message disappeard. However, I have now noticed that my text is not sticking. I can type or copy anything to the page and hit submit. When I go back in to see if it is there nothing held. I am using the same path that worked well with Irite.

So you are now able to upload images, but cannot save content. How you are saving the content, is this on an update page? Have you checked on the Insert server behavior to see if you have the editor set as the value for the field in your db?

To michel336265, have you also tried reloading the html editor files to see if the issue goes away?

Insert server behavior

I used ADDT to build the form and yes the insert server behavior has been modified to use the editor.

eyoung - When you first open the HTML Editor behaviour on your UPDATE page, you will see the initial value there but when you save it, it will disappear. Like many option boxes in the WA tools you need to set the option, then click into another field, prior to clicking OK, SAVE or NEXT, otherwise, your change disappears.

I am having a similar problem with the uploads though. I have enabled File Management and set up Security Assist but it is still not working.

Q1. do I have to do this for EVERY HTML Editor behaviour on each page?
Q2. after I make the changes to an Update page, specifying File Management, folder info and Global settings, what files do I need to upload?

not working

Thanks bjgarner,
That doesn't work for me. I get nothing on submit when new or update either.

To bjgarner, if you would like to enable file management for each of the instances on the page then you should edit them all. Once edited you should upload the entire HTMLEditor folder to your server.

To eyoung, can you debug your update code to check on the sql that is being used? If you can get the update query to print to the screen you should be able to see any problems if it is missing your page content. Do you have DataAssist? If so you could try making a copy of your page and adding the DataAssist update server behavior to the page to see if that helps you get it updated. If the problem is your ADDT update I'm not sure how you would get it working.

not working

Thanks Eric. I checked the sql and the add new and update features both work fine without the HTML editor but when the HTML editor is placed on the form field the field does not capture any updates or new information. It works fine with irite but not with html editor and I need to know why or I might as well just go back to the irite.
Thanks for your help.
