Cannot install WA extentions

I get an error message when I try to install wa extensions in extension manager

Cannot update insertbar.xml extension will not be installed

I get this on Site assist pro
and eric myers css sculptor 3

not yet tried the others but digital pro did install but no insert bar for web assist can anyone help?

It seems like something in your configuration folder has been corrupted. With Dreamweaver and extension manager closed, try renaming the configuration folder to Configuration_bak. This will have the effect of disabling all your extensions. After this is done, try installing the extensions again.

The Configuration folder is the one that is referred to in the common installation issues file:
common_installation_issues.pdf
