When I create an asp page, create de recordset and try to insert promaps, appears a window with a message

"Please place your cursor within the <body> tag before adding Google map to you page"

What´s going on

Thanks

make sure you are in design view in Dreamweaver.

if you are still having the same problem while in design view, please send a copy of your asp page so I can take a look.

I have had the same problem now on a couple of different sites.
makes no sense to me.
Can I forward a copy of the page please?
Thanks.

Is it the fact I am trying to introduce the map into a page that is updated from a design template page? Do I need specific editable regions in the template?

Yes, you can compress a copy of the page in a zip file and attach the zip file to your response.

Strange.
Just happened on a 3rd website.

Just figured it out - the body tag MUST be in lower case. Any capitalisation such as 'Body' or 'BODY' and the extension fails.

the issue is the case of the body tag:

<Body BGCOLOR="#000000">

change that to be all lower case:

<body bgcolor="#000000">

you should also change the closing body tag:
</body>

It is best practice to use lower case for your tags.
