Noob Question: Inserting Session Variable into Recordset

Hi,

I have installed "User Registration" Solutions Pack into my site and it works great.

Senario:

I'm trying to build off that and use data assist to create a form will also insert the current user's email address. I assumed I could get that off the session? I would like to store it in a column on this new form.

I tried editing the 'recordset' and change my column 'Owner_Id" to grab a session variable I found called 'UserId'. But that didn't insert anything new, plus is broke my page redirect.

What's the best way to grab the current user's info?

Thanks,

To get at any info for the currently logged in user you should create a new recordset that selects all from the users table, in the recordset interface toward the bottom you will need to filter the rs. You will need to filter it based on the user id, then select a 'session variable' and enter UserID for the name of the session variable.

When a user is logged in and goes to this page you will be able to refer to any of their details by making use of the bindings for your rs.
