Having a separate page for each product

Having a separate page for each product

Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to have a detail page for each product. I have all the information in the database, I just want to be able to link to that product's page. Also, is there a way to put a dollar sign in front of the price?

You would want to insert the $ on your page rather than in the db. When it comes to having a detail page for all of the items you will really have only one page. On the details page you will have a recordset that selects all of the items from your db, but it is filtered on an item id.

The idea is that on a results page you would click on an item to go to the detail page. The link to the detail page would need to contain an id like this:

product_details.php?id=123

You then setup the recordset on your details page to be filtered on this URL value for the id. Then you can view any item on the detail page by passing in the item id over the URL.

That worked. Thank you!
