Incrementing Display Order-Quick Help Needed

Thread began 2/28/2010 10:58 am by mrobben375515 | Last modified 3/01/2010 12:58 pm by Justin Nemeth | 566 views | 1 replies |

Incrementing Display Order-Quick Help Needed

I am trying to have my customer upload a file to a PowerGallery. I am using DataAssist to insert the record. I have all the fields populating properly, but I would like the "display_order" to increment automatically as it does when I enter an image through the PowerGallery Admin screen. I noticed that the display_order also increments based on the next number for that gallery_id. How can I do this?

Take a look at the admin/common/functions.php file on line 228. There is a SQL statements that will retrieve the most recent display_order. Basically, you query the images table for the most recent display_order then add 1 to it. If its a new gallery, you should just start the display_order at 1. You can then use this value in your custom insert statement.
