Changing Products to Services

I have just spent a couple hours attempting to change all instances of the words Products, products, Product, and product to Services, services, Service, service with the Dreamweaver Find and Replace tool.

Is there any way to be sure to change the code automatically in all js, css, and other file types also using the Find and Replace tool.

After using this method to change every reference of products to services, I uploaded the files to the live server and ran the setup. It connected to the blank database and setup went smoothly.

Everything appears to be working correctly, but when i click add new service ( instead of add new product ) from the admin section, an alert box pops up. It says:

Message from Website

Toolbar set "Custom" doesn't exist!

Is there any way to fix this?

I suppose this method of changing the products section over to services will probably get complicated if there is no way to be sure all instances of the words are replaced in all code.

But if there is a way to change EVERY instance of product to service, Product to Service, Products to Services, and Product to Service, in EVERY page of code including javascript, css, database files, ...everything. Then there is no reason that the entire site should not function exactly as it should with only the references to Products changed to Services, right?

So, I guess my question is, Does anyone know of an absolute and thorough process to Find and Replace all instances of products to services in every page of code in the Powerstore files?

I think it would be a bad idea to try and do a global find and replace for the word product and replace it with services. You should instead only change it in the areas of the site where it is visible to your. We do not have a method for converting these or finding all instances. It would be a custom process to look things over and find the words that you would like replaced then replace them in DW.

You should not be altering anything in the css js or php source in any of these files or you can loose functionality and cause the site to not work.

It worked!! And didnt lose any functionality.

Every instance of the words product capitalized and plural replace with the same Cap and plural of Services in every program and bit of code in the entire PowerStore will allow even the database to configure properly.

No problems at all!
