Images for rollovers and change vertical menu style

I purchased the Menu Writer yesterday, have read through the manual etc. but cannot find how to change each of my top level menu items Item 1, Item 2, Item 3, Item 4 from text to rollover images when I'm using the Menu Writer. The only place I see rollover images is in the Edit Theme button but it doesn't reference the items... just Menu and Level 1 and Level 2. Selecting either Group or Item still appears global. I should be able to select Item 1 and assign the various images for each of the rollover states?

Also, I need to change the vertical menu from being a flyout to a push down. In other words, when someone clicks on Item 1, the submenus drop down and push Items 2, 3 and 4 down.

I am obviously a newbie on this but I am missing something on how to modify the menus.

Thank you.
