SS Menu Question

Hi,

I had a question about a custom menu in Site Sculptor. I read a few of the posts in the forum about the need to use custom menus while building a website. I read on one you dont have to use menu writer to create a custom meny, then I read the tutorial for custom website in sculptor that says you have to use it to create the preset for SS to use.

What I want to know is, if I currently have a fully customized menu that I want to integrate into SS how can I do so without the use of menu writer? Is it possible for me to use SS to create the site, once finished delete the generated menu and insert my own customized css based menu (as long as all of the links match correctly with the ones generated by SS) and still have the functional CMS?
