Specific Order Handling Questions

While working with a drop shipper some of their items defined by a certain prefix in the item numbers must be ordered seperately. Is there a way to set this up with data assist/ Ecart using a wild card prefix which would be the same prefix as the drop shippers.

Also, lets say I have a dozen or so "best sellers" that would be more profitable for me to handle vs the drop shipper should I buy these in bulk. Is there a way to set up ECART so these items get handled seperately somehow?

What about setting up maximum characters for data fields such as name, address, etc. and can these fields be resequenced to match the drop shippers sequence? I don't know if shopping carts are designed with the same field names and sequences.

This is a great forum with very knowledgeable members, not to mention great products! Thanks to everyone for sharing their knowledge and experiences!
