There's just too much wrong.
It gets wearing, - really tiring.
Recently Bought 2 copies Power CMS Latest Version. They don't work. Can't add pages. Green cross does nothing.
Bought Latest PowerGallery. You have to alter the paths by hand in each galleries index page after any install to get any gallery to work.
Bought HTMLEditor 3. That doesn't work, trying to apply it to PowerCMS (x2 - PCMS200). can't find styles. Link to Help Resources on Product Download Page is Broken. File Manager doesn't work. When applied to a new instance outside of PowerCMS, styles still not applied (apart from the body style!) File browser works, but image paths are wrong. These need to be corrected in code view. My Editor instance page is in a sub-directory. An example can be seen here.
Bought PowerStore 4 No option to change design (clicking 'Design' in Admin menu returns 'Internal Server Error') - Added Error reporting, no change.
If you're keeping count, that's 4 for 4.
We should be well past the stage by now when the first thing you have to do with each new release is lose a day either figuring out how to make it work or end up in the forum bothering the support staff.
When you make something, test it. Test it thoroughly. Pay someone to do it. Then pay someone to fix it. Then pay someone to test it again. Then release a solid, stable version. Don't charge your customers for the privilege of doing your testing.
The last couple of years have been an age of patches, workarounds and miscellaneous lines of code poached from these pages, and applied like cycle-tube patches to leaking inflatables.
I am genuinely sorry to approach the subject in this manner, - I'm very tired - and I have utmost respect for the support staff here who clean up the mess, bit by bit, imparting their own wisdom in tips and solutions. Frankly, if you didn't have Jason, you wouldn't have a company.
I know you have a huge combination of OS, DW versions, PHP configs, MySql versions and browsers to test against - and growing exponentially as time goes on, but this latest 'four in a row' has done my noodle in. Maybe I'm just unlucky, being the only person I know for whom every Google page's 'I'm Feeling Lucky!' button is permanently greyed out, but really, more needs to be done.
