Kill Auto Log in Cookie...

Other than deleting the cookie manually from the browser, is there a way to kill the auto login cookie assigned when a user checks the auto log in option on the login page? So if for instance the user logs out, could the auto login cookie be set to a time in the past so it won't retrigger the next time someone logs in?
