Changing to Linux host server caused the buttons on cart page to stop working

I changed my host server on GoDaddy to Linux to get PHP mail to work. The good news is that that works now and I get the confirmation emails.

The weird news is that my shopping carts buttons; 'continue shopping' and 'checkout', just redirect to the shopping cart, instead of going to the right place.

The same page works fine on my local server.

If I go to checkout with a different link. it actually completes the checkout process.

I tried to change the server beheavior for the continue shopping to uncheck the 'if exists' box and link to my directly to shopping page, but it still fails.

Any ideas?
