Sales Tax at Checkout Page

Sales Tax at Checkout Page

Never Mind! I see I should let the checkout page proceed to the confirm page before I make my call to our payment gateway.

On the checkout page when I use the PayPal Express button, PayPal knows the buyer's state and properly calculates tax if the buyer is in my state (CA). When the buyer chooses not to use PayPal Express and instead enters their Billing and Shipping Info and clicks on the Checkout button at the screen bottom, the Grand Total amount I pass to our payment gateway doesn't include tax for buyers even if they are in CA. Is there a way for me to force the tax calculation after the buyer enters their billing address and before they click on the checkout button? Thanks.
