Adding a Page to Site Sculptor Site

I have a file named information that is set as a content management template. When I click on the + button a window appears saying add a new page based upon template and asks content name which I filled in as test. I can then edit the content but when I go to view the page the following address appears information.php?Information=1. When I go to the information folder there is no test.php but there is information in the database for test.

What I'm expecting is CMS to create a page call test.php in the information folder based upon the information template.

Am I wrong in this assumption?

To achieve what I want I have to create a file test.php in the information folder. Then I have to modify this file so that all the cms content areas refer to test. Then I have to go into the database and modify the test entries. Then I modify the menu using menu writer. Then I have to modify the two menu.php files. Once this is all none every thing works as expected.

Is there a simpler way to achieve this?
