Store filename on upload

Store filename on upload

I have a form which allows a user to insert a record which contains information and thumbnails about a property. My form works and the UE puts the uploaded thumbs on the server when the form is submitted. Problem is, I would like for the filenames of the thumbs to get inserted into the record as well. I cannot figure out how to pass the user selected filename to the insert record behavior. How could I get the name in <input type="file" name="ItemImage" id="ItemImage" /> to get sent to another variable?

I tried using insert record and telling the variable that it gets its data from ItemImage, but it doesn't insert it. If I tell the variable to get its data from any other element on the form, it works. I suspect it doesn't work with ItemImage because the input type is set to file and not text.

Should I be creating a hidden field on the form and somehow tell it to get its value from the user file name? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
