ie6 gets me down...and the content also

neilo

Hello again,

Apologies, - I sent the wrong code.

Please could you try this for your content div CSS?

#outerWrapper #contentWrapper #content {
margin-top: 0px;
margin-bottom: 0;
margin-left: 185px;
text-align: left;
padding: 15px 0 10px 0;
width: 490px;
}

IE7/6 needs the width of the divs to be defined. (and the right margin isn't necessary).

There is a huge ammount of unnecessary mark-up being added because your client seems to be pasting content into the CMS Editor window straight from MS Word.

If you want to prevent that, in YourCMSdirectory/HTMLEditor/custom/ directory edit the following files:

For PowerCMS1:

contents_insert_ContentValue1.js
contents_update_ContentValue1.js

For PowerCMS2:

contents_insert_ContentValue1.js
contents_insert_ContentValue1.php
contents_update_ContentValue1.js
contents_update_ContentValue1.php

and set the values of the following lines (somewhere near lines 43-44) to:

FCKConfig.ForcePasteAsPlainText = true;
FCKConfig.CleanWordKeepsStructure = false;

That will stop the bloated MSWord code from weighing down your pages. Alternatively, you could ask your client to paste from a plain-text editor (such as Notepad) and you could add your site styles to the 'Style' selector list in the editor toolbar, so all formatting and layout can be managed from there.
