Security Assist Registration Page Email Already Exists Validation Always Shows

I have two issues with my registration page, and need help.

Problem 1:
In the SA Wizard I opted for the registration form to redirect to emailDupe.php if the email is already used. This does not seem to work. Instead the page reloads with the message "Duplicate Entry 'my@domain.com' for key 2.

Problem 2:
I created a rsEmailLookup to see if the email address in the form is already used min-1 max0 numeric validation. Then I wrapped an error message in a validation show if. BUT the error shows every time even if the email doesn't exist in the database.

Attached is my page code. Appreciate any help.
