Sorry if I did not explain the question completely clearly.
Here is another way of explaining
Part of my menu consist of 6 boxes.
Horizontal box 1, 2, 3 which access destination drop down boxes 4, 5, 6.
I wish to travel 1 to 3 and then on to destination boxes, 4, 5, 6.
1, 3 and 4,5,6 all have live links.
I do not want 2 to link elsewhere, just to simply have a hover state
I have used "#" for 2
It works when viewed in IE browser, and reveals as file2.html#
My concern is will this be SEO for bot searching the route file1 to file2# onto
3 and destination boxes.
Will they simply 'pass through' to 3 as a web user would do.
