Changing page format from htm to php

I had tried for a while to get the gallery to show after embedding the code in a htm page and could not get it to work. Found this post and figured out why. I then saved the page as a php page and it worked.

I had used SiteAssist Pro to create the site and the default page format was htm. Is there a way within SiteAsssit to create a php site?

I ask because I will end up with many pages of htm which could be deleted after inserting the php code for Power Gallery. If I do delete them because I saved them in php after embedding the code for Power Gallery I would have to manually update all the links.....

Pending on the size of the store and the number of pages there will be a lot of unused pages once they are saved as php.

Thanks
