user registration not going to confirm page

when testing the new user registration, after filling in the fileds, the user is never taken to a success page, etc, although they are now "signed in. I can not find where this would be an issue. The correct pages are on the server and i did do the "known issues" updates.

in the admin, they do show up as a user, but even though the new user does click on the confirmation in the email link, it is never recorded in the admin panel as confirmed..??


Also, "IF" a registration email, order confirmation or lost password email does actually get received - it takes up t 1 hour to receive.. ?? any ideas? Having this issue on 2 powerstore 2 sites.
