Help with search syntax please

This code is the result of applying the DataAssist Search server behavior. All of the parameters that you see in this function call are configured in the DataAssist Search wizard.

In order, you are seeing the type of search, the value used, the separator, the comparison, the AND character, then the OR character, the start and end characters then the field type.

There should be no need to manually edit this as you can make the changes directly in the server behavior. I did a sample test using a keyword type of search using the includes comparison and I was able to search for a column that had a . character in the value and get back that value without issue. Here are some of the search terms used and the results returned in my test:

search for ca. returns ca.r
search for this. returns this. is. a sentence with some. periods

If you could post back with a table in a sql file that has some sample records in it I would be glad to do some tests to see what the problem may be.
