Cannot See Preview of HTML Site Map Styles

I am unable to Preview the chosen styles within the Preview window of the HTML Site Map setup. In order for me to Preview the styles, I have to choose a style then click on the Preview image to load it in a browser.

Plus, when I choose a Column Break, no column break within my Site Map. Everything is in one single column.

I wish the manual was more thorough on details of the options and 'How To's. I spent nearly an hour trying to figure out how to use some of the options. Quick Start Guide was just that and nothing more.
