Windows server or Unix?

Windows server or Unix?

I've used all 3 versions of Powerstore. 1.0, 1.2 and 2.0. I have been going around with tech support for over 2 weeks on Powerstore images not uploading properly to my Windows server, and have concluded that it is just not going to work on my server. So I need to move the site, and since register.com is the registrar, I'm going to just put it back there.

For powerstore 2.0, what are the benefits of going with either flavor of hosting, Windows or Unix. Does it matter? Is one better than the other?

Any feelings about register.com as the hosting company?

Thanks for any input.
