Dynamic Driving Directions for Dummies?

I'm a WYSIWYG guy who has designed websites for a lot of clients, but I am NOT a coder, which is why I use Dreamweaver.

Our clients love Google Maps Pro, but I have utterly failed at creating a map with dynamic driving directions.

I found no real help in the documentation or the forum except for this thread:
t-7679.html

I created the form and linked the fields to it, but nothing happens.

Do I need a database? Is there a tutorial for dummies that can help me? I love the product, except for this one feature, which would be great if I had step by step instructions for implementing it.

Here's what I have so far:
map_directions.php

Thanks for any help.
