French fonts or characteres

Eric Mittman

I have done some testing with the characters that you posted. I sent the message to a gmail account of mine, in here I can see the characters without issue. I then checked this in my Thunderbird email client and the characters did not appear correctly. When I checked the source of the email message I can see the characters as I entered them. I did some more testing and found that if I change the encoding that my mail client is using then the characters will display differently. I was not able to get them to show in my mail client correctly though, but the web mail version of the email is correct.

I also double checked the email script file and can see the characters listed correctly in there. This tells me that Universal Email is handling these characters correctly, it is just that your mail client is not interpreting them correctly. Do you have other emails that display these characters correctly? If so it would be great to have the source from one so that I can compare it to see what may be different. If there is something that can be added to the html in the message that will get it to display correctly I can help you get it in place but I will need to have a reference for what that may be.
