Adobe controls The Extension Manger, Adobe controls Dreamweaver, Adobe controls the configuration process. Why don't you tell them that one piece of corruption in the folder should stop everything? They must not be doing a good job corrupting the folder if it's not complete corruption.
Why not ask them why it allows the extension to work just fine on other computers and not yours. They really should be able to spread the problems you have, to everyone else's systems too. Be sure your explain to them how valuable your time is and you should be exempt from the problems everyone else is has with their products.
BTW most of the troubleshooting tips came from Adobe themselves because they are common problems. I just collected them in one place to make it easier for people. Sorry you found them ridiculous.
