"virtual" auto replacing "require_once" - why?

I switched to using a "testing server" in DW rather than jsut browsing the files direct from the server file system. Since then, code like this is being created and I don't understand why ...

<?php virtual("/WA_DataAssist/WA_AppBuilder_PHP.php"); ?>

Because this already exists

<?php require_once("../../WA_DataAssist/WA_AppBuilder_PHP.php"); ?>

Can someone please tell me why the WA wizards are now creating these "virtual" connections?

BTW the pages only work if I remove the "virtual" linesand leave in the "require_once" line.

Thanks :confused:
