New to Web Assist

I really need some help.

A company lets say "scde" had their site hosted with a small company lets say "WHC" who had one developer. Well he left.

Now scde got in contact with me and ask me to take over their site. WHC sent me a copy of their site. After further review and pain. I got it working except for the check out. When adding product, it says the cart is empty. SO here is what I need help with. I dug and found there directories in his site...
WA_DataAssist
WA_eCart
WA_Universal_Email
WA_ValidationToolkit
SpryAssist

SO ......

1. I need to find out how I can get the cart working.
2. Do i need to get additional files from WHC to make changes to his site or are all the development file stored online?
3. kind of same question as 2 but need to ask. I believe that WHC used WEB Developer Suite. I guess I need to purchase a license for it and if I do will I need additional files from WHC to have SCDE site ready to modify or all the files stored in the website.
4. I think it was hosted on a redhat machine and we use MS2003 servers. Don't know if that matters.

I can really use some guidance on this matter since I know nothing about WebAssist.

If I can call someone I would appriciate it. Email me at davteks@hotmail.com

Thanks
