New Extension Coming Soon: Search for BOSS

We are going to be releasing a new extension very soon. It will likely go live on our website in one week! It is called Search for BOSS and will give you the ability to easily integrate BOSS (Build your Own Search Service), Yahoo!’s open search web services platform, directly into any PHP website. We used the same technology for our website so you can see a live demo by searching for a word in the search box on our home page and viewing the results. (This is essentially what the extension builds.)

Here is the feature list:

Complete Domain Search
• Search any domain
• Specify results per page (50 results per page maximum)

Result display options
• Result URL
• Result Title
• Result Abstract/Description
• Related Keywords for each result

Repeat Search Result
• Repeats custom search options for each search result on your page

Automatic Page Navigation/Pagination
• Instantly adds page navigation on your results page

Optional Manual Navigation/Pagination Creation
• Includes First, Last, Next, and Previous Links
• Adds “Displaying # of # results”

Additional Show If Utility
• Allows for the creation of a custom Show If function if necessary

---

I will set up a new beta forum shortly and email you all a build, should you want to play with it for one week before it goes public.
