redirect https to http

Hi Ray
This enquiry might not be one of the things you can help with but maybe you can so here goes!

A site I have sheringham-cottages.co.uk does not have ssl. The client do not wish to install this as it does not collect and pass over the internet any information.

However if I use https://sheringham-cottages.co.uk to open the domain I get an error

"This site can’t provide a secure connectionsheringham-cottages.co.uk sent an invalid response".

Can I use something like
Redirect 301 /https://sheringham-cottages.co.uk/default.html /http://sheringham-cottages.co.uk/default.html
inserted into the default.html page to avoid getting this error?

I hope you are having a great Boxing Day in the USA.
Best regards

John
