Saving data in a new way.

Hi Webassist Team,

My new client has a bunch of data on MySQL. Most of the data are arrays.
Example: Every product has multiple categories; thus they have saved "ProductCatID" as: "1,2,3,6,7..." & so on.
Meaning a product has multiple categories with cat id as mentioned above.

I never used such way to save data. But used a different table to save them & used relational table concept.

Now I need to use existing data itself & create a dashboard from them to manage it.
In this scenario, i can create for adding data into it, but what about in case of in edit product page & search product page?

Will search work within an array?
